Athletic performance is not only physical or technical—it is also psychological. How athletes manage pressure, attention, confidence, and mistakes often determines how well they are able to use the skills they already have. My work focuses on helping athletes better understand the mental side of performance and develop practical strategies they can apply during practice and competition. Depending on the athlete’s needs, support may focus on performance development, psychological skills training, or counselling support related to sport.
My Services
1:1 Coaching
Individual coaching sessions designed to help athletes strengthen the mental side of their performance.
In these sessions, we work together to understand the mental patterns that show up during practice and competition—such as pressure, overthinking, loss of focus, or confidence dips—and develop practical strategies to manage them.
Sessions are tailored to the athlete’s goals and competitive environment. Depending on the athlete, the work may include topics such as:
-
Managing pressure and competitive nerves
-
Strengthening focus and attention during performance
-
Building confidence and effective self-talk
-
Developing consistent pre-performance routines
-
Learning how to reset after mistakes
Sessions are typically 45–50 minutes and conducted online.
Sports Counselling
Sport counselling supports athletes who are dealing with deeper emotional or psychological challenges that are affecting their sport experience.

While mental performance coaching focuses primarily on improving performance, sport counselling addresses issues such as:
-
Performance anxiety
-
Burnout or loss of motivation
-
Identity and self-worth connected to sport
-
Navigating transitions in sport
This work draws on my background in clinical counselling and is appropriate for athletes who need space to process experiences as well as develop tools to move forward in their sport.
Group Workshops
Interactive workshops designed for teams, academies, and junior programs that want to introduce athletes to core mental performance skills.
Workshops are educational but practical. Athletes learn how pressure affects performance and practice simple tools they can apply immediately in training and competition.
Common workshop topics include:
-
Understanding pressure in competition
-
Focus and attention during performance
-
Confidence and self-talk
-
Managing mistakes and emotional responses
-
Competitive mindset
Sessions can be delivered in classrooms, training facilities, or online, and can be adapted to the needs of the team or program.
